About Goodenough College

Goodenough College was founded in 1930 as a residential college for students from the Dominions. Its aim was to improve international tolerance and understanding amongst people on the brink of their careers by providing a forum in which they could interact. The College has expanded greatly since that time and now consists of a community of over 650 postgraduates from over 90 countries.

The mission of the College today is:

  • To maintain its position as the principal centre for students who are studying at postgraduate level at professional and academic institutions in London.
  • To acquire a reputation as a College whose members actively debate issues of concern to the leadership of the contemporary world, thereby attracting authorities in such matters to take part in the educational programmes of the College.
  • By use of the Goodenough Club to make the College the first choice of residence for senior academics and professionals visiting London for research, conferences or courses.
